Police Investigated Bomb Threat at Best Buy in Flint on Monday
On Monday, Flint Township Police were called to investigate a bomb threat at Best Buy on Miller Road. Thankfully, it turned out to be false.
Flint Township Police were called to the Best Buy store around 4:45 in the afternoon on Monday, April 22nd. After the store was evacuated K-9 units were brought in and searched the building. After a sweep of the building was made, with the K-9's from the Michigan State Police and Genesee County Sheriff's Office did not find any explosive device.
Shortly after the sweep, employees from Best Buy were allowed back into the building. After that, the store reopened and customers were allowed back in. Police are still investigating the source and where the threat came from.
The Best Buy, at 3660 Miller Road is also attached to a number of other businesses including Guitar Center. Great job to all the store employees and police units in acting quickly to keep everyone safe during the possible threat.
