Popular Clothing Brand’s New Spokesmodel is in a Wheelchair

Diesel has a reputation for going beyond the basic stereotypical standards of beauty when it comes to representing their brand.  In the past they have featured a former Olympic swimmer, a plus sized, grafitti artist with pink hair, and even a 65 year old fashion editor.   The company now has a new beautiful face to rock their new spring/summer campaign.  That face belongs to a 26 year old fashion blogger named Jillian Mercado.  Mercado, who was born and raised in New York City, has a condition called spastic muscular dystrophy.  She saw a casting call on the designer's Facebook page and decided to give it a whirl.  I appreciate beauty of all kinds, and I must admit...I think she looks a ton better than half of the bland, cookie-cutter models in the fashion world today!
