I, like many of you, was in total shock when I found out that Vinnie Paul had passed. It is still hard to wrap my head around. Millions of fans are mourning his death throughout the world, and I can not even imagine what his family, close friends and his girlfriend are going through.

I was lucky enough to have Vinnie Paul in the Banana studio with me in May of 2016, prior to Hellyeah playing later that evening at the Machine Shop. To say I was nervous is an understatement. I was like how in the hell am I getting the chance to have a conversation one on one with the great VP? Needless to say, I did not sleep well the night before due to nerves. I had interviewed countless bands and rock stars, but this was Vinnie Paul!

I am happy to say, he was as cool as everyone said he would be. I had always read and heard from other bands about how great he was, and it was true. From the moment he walked into the Banana studio he was so freaking cool. We talked tacos, cookbooks and strip clubs. How cool is that?

I ran into him a few years after this interview at a show in Las Vegas and he was just as awesome. Not surprising when I saw him in Vegas, he was wearing a Machine Shop shirt, which he often did.

RIP Vinnie Paul and thanks for being so kick-ass and for calming a very nervous girls nerves.
