The grand opening of Sheetz in Ypsilanti is happening soon, and you are invited.

The new Michigan Sheetz convenience store is the first location to open in Washtenaw County. Most recently, another Sheetz opened in Eastpointe on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026.

Sheetz is open around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing customers with freshly made-to-order meals, a wide selection of beverages, fuel for vehicles, and a variety of other convenient services.

When is the Sheetz Ypsilanti grand opening celebration?

The Sheetz grand opening in Ypsilanti is on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:45 AM, along with remarks from Sheetz representatives and local community leaders.

Giveaways will also be a part of the fun. Guests in attendance can enter to win the following Sheetz gift cards,

  • 10:15 AM: $250 Sheetz Gift Card Drawing
  • 10:30 AM: $250 Sheetz Gift Card Drawing

With prizes like that, it may certainly be worth the drive from Genesee County or Lapeer County - especially if you have never been to a Sheetz store.

More Sheetz locations will be opening in Michigan, and that has been controversial in some areas of the state. What are your thoughts on Sheetz opening more locations in the Great Lakes State?
