Anyone can look up sex offenders in their neighborhood via the internet - but one sheriff saved people the time this Halloween by posting 'No Trick-Or-Treat' signs in the yards of registered sex offenders.

Gary Long of Georgia did not care if people liked it or not. According to reports, Sheriff Long's only concern was to keep the children in the community safe. For the most part, the response to this was positive. Of course there were some complaints of it being 'embarrassing'. If a person is on a sex offender list for peeing in public - that is embarrassing. If a person is on a sex offender list because they hurt and abused children - too bad, they deserve to be embarrassed. Do you agree?

If you are wondering if Sheriff Gary Long had a legal right to post these warning signs, he did under Georgia law.
