Something New Set to Open in Former BD’s Mongolian BBQ Spot in Flint
After sitting empty since October 2024, the former BD's Mongolian BBQ spot in Flint is finally getting new life. Something new is set to move in, and it’s sure to please those who loved the food and vibe of Mongolian BBQ.
BD’s Mongolian BBQ on Miller Road in Flint closed its doors on October 11, 2024. The closure came out of nowhere and left customers surprised and disappointed. There was no advance notice. The place was open one day and closed the next without any explanation.

What's Moving Into the Former BD's Mongolian BBQ Spot in Flint?
If you liked BD’s Mongolian BBQ, I’m sure you’ll feel the same for Joe’s YUMMY BOWL Stir-Fry & Sushi.
Joe’s looks to follow the Yummy Bowl concept. Think, build your own Mongolian stir fry, sushi rolls from a full bar, ramen, and even Korean fried chicken. It’s the same kind of interactive, made-to-order style that BD’s fans loved, but with a fresh twist and more options. They had me at Korean fried chicken.
As of now, there is no official opening date announced for Joe’s YUMMY BOWL Stir-Fry & Sushi in Flint. However, sources say it should be opening in just a few months.
As far as we know, Joe’s YUMMY BOWL Stir-Fry & Sushi in Flint will be the first Yummy Bowl location in Michigan.
