Son Writes Detroit Lions Themed Obituary For His Father
A recent obituary has garnered the attention of Detroit Lions fans not just in Michigan, but all over the country.
A young man in Pennsylvania claimed his late father William Gardner did not want an obituary or even a funeral after his passing.
According to CBS News, once Mr. Gardner's son Jacob realized how important his dad was to so many people, he went against his father's wishes and penned the following obituary,
"Sheesh. My father didn't want an obituary, funeral, or memorial. However, it has been brought to my attention that he meant something to a lot of you. So if I'm going to disobey his wishes, we're going to do this right. If you loved my father or he had any impact on your life at all, and you want to honor his memory, sit in front of your TV at noon every Thanksgiving and watch the Lions game just like he would have done. DETROIT VS. EVERYBODY."
I'm not crying, you're crying.
Countless Detroit Lions fans from all over the country have been sending their condolences and pledging to remember William Gardner every Thanksgiving when watching the Detroit Lions play.
Most of us will probably think of Mr. Gardner and his son whenever we watch the Detroit Lions play, not just on Thanksgiving Day.
