There is a good chance you will be serving at least three of Michigan’s top five Thanksgiving side dishes tomorrow.

If you are not hosting Thanksgiving dinner, there is a good chance you will still end up eating at least three of Michigan’s top five Thanksgiving side dishes.

What are Michigan's top five Thanksgiving side dishes?

The Detroit Free Press reported the information, provided by Campbell’s.

I do not think anyone is surprised that Michigan loves these Thanksgiving side dishes. What might raise a few eyebrows, however, is the order in which they are ranked.

Trust me, I am a big fan of both macaroni and cheese and sweet potatoes, but it is still surprising to see them ranked ahead of the traditional Thanksgiving favorite - green bean casserole.

Out of the above five Thanksgiving side dishes, the only three I know my family will be enjoying are as follows,

  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Stuffing
  • Green Bean Casserole

Luckily for me (and probably for my family, too), I am not responsible for making any Thanksgiving side dishes this year. My one task is to bring breadsticks, which I happily ordered.

At this point, it is practically a Thanksgiving tradition (and a standing request) that I stay far away from the cooking. I am grateful for that arrangement. Or should I say thankful?

Happy Thanksgiving!
