Staind Announces Winner Of ‘Not Again’ Guitar Solo Contest
A couple of months back Staind announced the 'Guitar Solo Showdown' -- a contest where any Joe Schmoe with an axe could record a guitar solo for their single 'Not Again' and potentially win some prizes including a spot on their new album. Hear the winning guitar solo here.
Staind has chosen Kevin Curry as their winner of the 'Guitar Solo Showdown'. Curry will land a pretty sweet prize package for his fretwork including a Mike Mushok signature Paul Reed Smith guitar, a $1,000 gift certificate to Guitar Center, and his solo on the iTunes deluxe version of Staind's new album and more.
Although I don't think Mike Mushok needs to start worrying about his job, you can compare his version to the contest winning solo below.
