Michigan is getting its first ever Sugar Factory restaurant and candy retail shop in Downtown Detroit in 2022.

If you're not familiar with the Sugar Factory, they have locations all over the world and specialize in over-the-top cocktails, candy, and food. In 2016, Food & Wine Magazine referred to the Sugar Factory as the most Instagrammed Restaurant in the United States. Just go to their Instagram page and you'll see why.

According to MLive, the 233-seat restaurant will include indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a large candy store.

Shared owner Charissa Davidovici:

We are excited to bring our decadent dishes, sweets and treats to the Detroit community, which have been enjoyed by guests around the world for over a decade. The energy and atmosphere of downtown and the One Campus Martius building is the perfect place for Sugar Factory’s family-friendly dining.

According to their Facebook, they have something called the King Kong Sundae which serves up to 12 people with 24 scoops of ice cream, two cupcakes, sprinkles, caramel sauce, fudge sauce, strawberry sauce, marshmallows, Reese’s Pieces, chocolate chip cookies, crushed waffle cones, gummy bears, white chocolate strawberry shavings, sliced bananas, toasted walnuts and whipped cream, and then topped off with giant swirly pops. Are you freaking kidding me?

They Also carry their own signature 60-ounce alcohol-infused smoking candy goblets, candy-inspired martinis and sweet signature cocktails.

They also have what they call the Campfire S’Mores Spiked Insane Milkshake. Check it out below.

Where in Detroit Will the Sugar Factory Be Located:

The Sugar Factory will be located Downtown Detroit at 45 Monroe Street inside the One Campus Martius building.
