SVSU Offers Free Tuition for Qualified Students
Saginaw Valley State University is preparing to help students with free tuition.
SVSU announced a new program on Tuesday to help low-income students with free tuition. The SVSU Cardinal Commitment is four years, free tuition for qualifying students starting this fall.

This extensive financial aid package provides four years of free tuition for eligible first-time in college students in Michigan who have a family adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less and meet eligibility criteria...SVSU
In order to qualify for free tuition at Saginaw Valley State University, you need to fit the criteria.
- Family income of $50,000 or less.
- You must be a Michigan resident and enrolled for the first time for the Fall 2021 semester.
- And you must be a full-time undergraduate student during the Fall and Winter semesters to be eligible.
If you want to apply, you will have to complete three easy steps. First, apply for admission at Saginaw Valley State University. Second, complete the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to verify your income. Use SVSU's code of '002314' when filling out the application. Third, enroll. Once you are admitted as a first-time student and completed your FAFSA, you'll receive a Financial Aid Award Letter notification and if eligible that letter will reflect the SVSU Cardinal Commitment.
