Tyonna McIntyre was born and raised in Flint. Tyonna loves her community and is doing her part to make a difference. Following in the paths of Dr. Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks, she has a vision - 'It takes one thing'.

One thing can make a difference, that is why Tyonna McIntyre is putting together a Stop the Violence Rally on Friday, September 3rd. Her mission is to increase the peace and take back Flint. All Flint residents and non Flint residents are encouraged to attend. The rally will take place at The Peace Garden at the corner of MLK and McClellan from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a candlelight vigil from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Tyonna is fully committed to make Flint safe. This is why Tyonna is so dedicated to the cause in her own words,

As a resident of the City of Flint and being born and raised here, I have watched how my/our city has gone from a place where you could sleep with your doors open, to a place where we don't know if our sons and daughters are going to make it home safe.

I believe it only takes one thing to change that. One vision, and one act that can impact and change the world, but in this case Flint.

Tyonna knows what it is like to be on the other side of the law. She has a grandson in jail right now facing four gun charges. This initiative hits close to home. Like Dr. Martin Luther King, Tyonna McIntyre has a dream that one day we can all live in peace and harmony with one another.

Thank you Ms. McIntyre for all you are doing, you are appreciated.
