The Flint Firebirds Are One Win Away From the OHL Finals
The Flint Firebirds are back in playoff action tonight!
The Flint Firebirds picked up another win in the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. Game five took place in the WFCU Centre where the Flint Firebirds beat the Windsor Spitfires 4 to 3. That win put the Firebirds up three games to two in the series.
The playoff action continues tonight (Tuesday, May 31st, 2022) on home ice for game six of the Western Conference Finals series. The puck is set to drop at 7 pm inside the Dort Financial Center. If the Firebirds win, they will take the series and move on to the OHL Championship. If this series goes to game seven, the action will move back to the WFCU Centre on Wednesday, June 1st.
The winner of the Western Conference Finals will take on the Hamilton Bulldogs for the Championship. The Bulldogs remain undefeated in the 2022 OHL Playoffs and just clinched the Eastern Conference Finals by sweeping the North Bay Battalion on Friday, May 27th.
The fact remains that going into tonight's game, the Flint Firebirds are just five victories away from becoming Ontario Hockey League Champions.
