The long-awaited return of the Flint Firebirds happens this weekend.

After a soul-shattering end to the 2019-2020 season for the Firebirds, fans will finally see the team officially back in action on Saturday, October 9th for the 2021-2022 season. The Firebirds will be in action against the Erie Otters this Saturday with the puck dropping at 7 pm.

When you think back to the end of the 2019-2020 season, we saw the Firebirds as the best team in the Ontario Hockey League and they had their eyes set on the championship. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic put a stop to that. Show your support and get out to a Firebirds game this season as the team wants to reclaim the spot and energy that was stolen from them by the pandemic.

The first three games of the season will see the Flint Firebirds playing on home ice at the Dort Financial Center in Flint. During the shutdown of the pandemic, the arena has been under a massive renovation and has never looked better. From the time you walk in the front doors, you are immersed in the hockey energy. When you go to your first game, be sure to take a couple of minutes and look around and see how great the building looks.

If you can't make the home opener on Saturday, the team will be back in action at Dort Event Center on Thursday, October 14th against the Erie Otters and Wednesday, October 20th against the Saginaw Spirit.

Get the family together and grab a four-pack of tickets for this Saturday's game! The Family Four-Packs come with four discounted game tickets, four slices of pizza, and four regular soft drinks. The Family Four-Packs vary in price by ticket tier:

  • Bronze Level: $72
  • Silver Level: $84
  • Gold Level: $96
  • VIP: Not available for Family Four-Packs
