The Lake Inn In Lapeer Reopens For Carryout Today
Great news - the Lake Inn on Lake Neppesing in Lapeer is back in business today for carry-out from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, every Wednesday through Sunday.
The Lake Inn is family owned and operated, and has been a Lapeer County staple for as long as I can remember. I have spent countless afternoons at the Lake Inn, even before it was remodeled (shout out to all of my designated drivers through the years). From events like 'Softball on Ice' and our 'Cardboard Classic' boat races, the Lake Inn has always been a crowd favorite.
If you live in Genesee County or even points beyond, I am telling you it is worth the drive to Lapeer for the food at the Lake Inn. Trust me, there is something for everyone on the menu. Great appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizza, a kids menu - I could go on and on. One thing that I highly recommend is the fish tacos. So good! Tony LaBrie would make the drive from his house in Grand Blanc to the Lake Inn a few times a month (prior to the cornovirus pandemic) to get the fish tacos. They are so good.
Once the Lake Inn can officially reopen for indoor dining, you have to go. They have a beautiful deck you can dine on, overlooking Lake Neppesing. Man, typing this is making me hungry for a burger and a beer! There is nothing better than sitting outside, looking over the lake, eating a great lunch or dinner with friends, and of course topping the evening off with a few cocktails.
The Lake Inn is located at 3711 Hunt Road in Lapeer. Call (810) 667-0941 to place your to go order. Enjoy!
