Trump Banned From Facebook and Instagram Indefinitely
Mark Zuckerberg announced via his personal Facebook account, that President Donald Trump is quote “indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks", banned from Facebook and Instagram. The block comes after the disastrous events yesterday at the United States Capitol. Twitter also put a lock on Trump's account yesterday.
I do not see this as a violation of his freedom of speech - I know many people will. Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram do not belong to us. If the powers that be believe President Trump is in violation of their conduct codes, so be it. How many times have you or someone you know been kicked off a social media platform? I see a lot of Facebook updates on my feed that read "I'm back!" or "I am out of Facebook jail". I am sure you have to, it happens.
Regardless if you are for this ban, or against it - you can voice (comment) your opinion on Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook page. As of this moment, 95 thousand people already have. We are a nation divided, there is no doubt about that. I knew when the ball dropped on New Year's Eve, everything would not magically be better, but I sure was hoping it would not get any worse.
