Two Genesee County Businesses Raided for Illegal Marjiuana

Police in Genesee County raided to local businesses allegedly selling marijuana without the right licenses.

Two different search warrants were served on Tuesday at two different businesses in Genesee County in connection to violations of Michigan's marijuana laws. Liberty Meds Lounge on Center Road and The Rec Center on Dort Highway were the two businesses served with search warrants. Flint and Genesee Township police along with the Michigan State Police Marijuana and Tobacco Investigation Section were the officials that raided the two stores.

As of now, no criminal charges were announced with the search warrants. Police and state officials are still investigating and continue to crack down on those producing or selling unlicensed marijuana products in Michigan.

For those looking to purchase legal, recreational marijuana in the area won't have to wait much longer. Two Genesee County businesses have been approved to sell and will be open to the public soon. Those businesses are The Barn on Bristol Road in Burton and Elite Wellness on Dort Highway.
