Vassar Theatre Asks Customers to Show Proof of Vaccination
The historic movie theatre in Vassar will be asking to see your vaccination card if you'd like to enter without wearing a mask. The company is going along with the recent guidelines made by the CDC for those that have been fully vaccinated.
According to ABC12, The Vassar Theatre will allow vaccinated customers to take in a movie without the mask but will be asking for proof.
They aren't going to force you to show your vaccination card, however, they ask that you voluntarily show proof of vaccination.
ABC 12 talked with the owner, Andreas Fuchs
They have our assurance that when they come to the movies, it is an enjoyable time off and you don’t have to worry about anything.
Some people will say that this isn't legal or whatever but remember, they aren't forcing you, they're simply asking. It’s also legal to request proof customers have received their shots or turn them away, according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and legal experts.
When you think about it, it's really not a big deal. I mean nobody has to wear a mask while watching a movie as it is. The only time you would have to wear your mask is when you walk in the door and until you sit down in your seat. This of course is only for those that refuse to wear a mask or just haven't gotten it yet.
