Morons Celebrating Dearborn Wedding Fill Neighborhood With Smoke From Burnouts
I've heard of many unique ways to celebrate a wedding but filling a neighborhood with smoke from doing monster burnouts is probably one of the dumbest. I take it back, it is the dumbest way to celebrate a wedding.
According to Fox 2 Detroit, a Dearborn neighborhood was filled with smoke this past Saturday when guests from a wedding performed burnouts on a packed residential street. Luckily, a neighbor's doorbell camera caught much of the action.
Apparently, these morons pulled into a neighborhood and just started roasting their tires. Not only was the noise super annoying but the smoke from the burnouts literally filled the neighborhood with smoke. There was so much smoke that you couldn't even see the vehicles on the street as you'll see in the video below.
Police Chief Issa Shahin:
Weddings are a time of celebration and festivity for new couples in our community, and beyond. However, we need to ensure that both guests and residents are protected by following the law and celebrating safely in order to prevent harm or tragedy. Reckless driving is illegal, and there is zero-tolerance for this behavior in our community. There are more appropriate, and safer, ways to celebrate special occasions without endangering others.
It's not clear if alcohol prompted the stupid decision to do burnouts but I'm going to go out on a limb and say, that was more than likely the case here.
Police were able to identify some of these knuckleheads but they're still looking to the public to find others that were involved.
Anyone with information is asked to call Dearborn Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 313-943-3345.
