It's kind of wild to think that America's worst coffee chain is also one that you find pretty much everywhere in Michigan.

Coffee can be a hot topic for Michiganders who take their brew seriously. Some folks will even drive miles out of their way just to hit a drive-thru for that first sip of morning glory.

What seems like the best coffee to some might not necessarily be the best to others. Take Dunkin’, for example, it’s widely considered the 'worst coffee chain' on the planet. Yet, some people can’t get enough. We call those people... well, loyal.

Surprisingly, Dunkin’, 7-Eleven, Burger King, Tim Hortons, and even Taco Bell (yes, they serve coffee at the border) aren’t considered the worst in America. How is Taco Bell not the worst? I’ve never had it, but something about it just sounds wrong.

What is the Worst Coffee Chain in America?

So, what is the worst coffee in America? I’m sure the answer really depends on who you ask, but according to TCMA, the crown for worst coffee goes to none other than McDonald’s.

I get it, those could be fighting words for some because people weirdly defend McDonald’s coffee like it’s gourmet. Then there are others who trash it like it’s brewed from dirty underwear. There’s no in-between.

Many say that McDonald’s coffee 'just barely gets the job done if full and flavorful are your priorities.' It's also rumored that the McCafé coffee machines aren’t the cleanest in the world.
