810 Munchies Restaurant In Flint Focuses On Families With Special Needs
The countdown is on for the official opening of 810 Munchies in Flint.
The new restaurant recently had a soft opening, with the grand opening set for Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 4:30 PM.
I will be broadcasting live that day from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. During the broadcast, you can win tickets to see Papa Roach at Pine Knob and enjoy 10 coneys for just $25.
As I reported last month, the concept behind 810 Munchie is rather unique. Steven Brewer, the owner and father of two sons on the autism spectrum, searched for restaurants that welcomed families with special needs, but came up empty.
After the story behind 810 Munchies was revealed, social media lit up with excitement. The comments on the restaurant’s Facebook page were overwhelmingly positive and full of support.
Brewer wants all families to feel welcome and included, and is putting in the work to make that happen.
Where is 810 Munchies located?

810 Munchies will serve a wide range of breakfast favorites, including skillets, French toast, omelets, and more. Guests can also enjoy burgers, sandwiches, salads, chicken wings, a dedicated kids’ menu, and several other delicious options.
Be sure to watch the ABC 12 video below, where Steven Brewer shares why this restaurant is so personal to him. For many families, dining out can be challenging due to sensory overload, accessibility barriers, or simply feeling unwelcome - factors that can take the enjoyment out of the experience.
You can also view a more recent video with additional details about the official grand opening.
Congrats to the 810 Munchies crew, we look forward to seeing you all soon.
