Amazon Building New Saginaw Facility; Brings Back Thursday Night Football
Amazon is set to build a new facility in Saginaw and begin operations in 2021.
A new Amazon package facility has been announced for 2021 in Buena Vista Township. The new facility will end up bring over 100 jobs to the area for local residents.
We will create over a hundred job opportunities including full-time and part-time positions – offering all associates the same highly competitive wage of at least $15 an hour, as well as a variety of benefits packages from day one...said Amazon spokesman Andre Woodson.
As of now, information is limited on the new facility. Amazon has yet to announce the location of the new build.
There have been a lot of Amazon facilities popping up in Michigan over the last couple of years. That is great as so many people are looking for jobs right now. Hell, that may even include me as soon as Tony has had enough of my shenanigans and gives me the boot.
On top of the new facility, Amazon has also announced good news for football fans as well. Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light Platinum will be returning to Prime Video and Twitch kicking off tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th, 2020.
We are always looking for ways to delight customers and enhance the value of a Prime membership, and are thrilled to bring Thursday Night Football back to Prime Video and Twitch for a fourth season...We know these are unusual times, and have developed a wall-to-wall lineup of exclusive features and original content from across Amazon that prioritizes real-time data and insights, provides expert analysis, and gives fanatic and casual football fans alike access to more games, more talent, and more options than ever before...said Marie Donoghue, VP of Global Sports Video at Amazon.
Even though the year has been crazy, it looks like Amazon is still trying to do their part by creating jobs and providing entertainment for the masses.
