Bishop Airport to Offer Nonstop Flights to Vegas
A trip to Las Vagas sounds pretty awesome right about now. If you want to take a nonstop flight from Flint though, you're going to have to wait until 2021.
According to ABC 12, Allegiant Air announced new flights between Bishop International Airport in Flint and McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas beginning March 5.
Airport Director Nino Sapone:
Our number one most requested vacation destination is returning to Flint Bishop. A tremendous ‘thank you’ to Allegiant for believing in us and continuing to build their air service portfolio in Southeast Michigan, and a huge ‘thank you’ to all of our passengers who are so loyal to Allegiant and to our airport.
Starting in March, a one-way ticket will only cost $59 but you have to purchase before the end of today (11/17). That's the only bad thing because who knows what kind of shape this country will be in by the time spring 2021 rolls around.
The flight times are pretty decent though as you'd depart from Bishop International Airport at 7:10 a.m. and arrive at McCarran around 8:25 a.m. The return flight from Las Vegas to Flint would depart Vegas at 11:30 p.m. Sunday and arrive in Flint around 6:20 a.m.
I haven't been to Las Vegas in a really long time, as matter of fact it was 2005 when I last went. That's when I got married and well, we all know how that ended. Maybe that's why I haven't been back since...I don't want any of that bad luck. I'm just kidding, I got an awesome kid out of the deal.
