It's not very often that you see a bobcat running around a neighborhood in Genesee County. It happens from time to time, but it's pretty rare.

Back in 2023, we told you about a woman in Antrim County, northern Michigan, who snapped a photo of a beautiful bobcat just chilling in her backyard in the middle of the day. While bobcats are more common in Northern Michigan, a woman in Grand Blanc also claimed to have seen one in 2023, unfortunately, she wasn’t able to get a picture.

The reason we don’t see bobcats running around very often is because they’re pretty sneaky and like to hang out in wooded, remote areas. They’re shy creatures and tend to be more active at dawn or dusk, so spotting one during the day is pretty rare.

On Sunday, March 23, a woman in Linden was scrolling through security footage from her Ring camera when she spotted something unusual. It was a large, muscular cat, and it didn’t take long for her to realize it was a bobcat.

According to MLive, Alana Stamper has seen plenty of wildlife in her neighborhood, including foxes, possums, bunnies, coyotes, and raccoons, but this was the first time she caught a bobcat on camera.

The bobcat, caught on camera at 6:13 a.m., stood still for a moment before being startled by the security system alert, which said, 'You’re on camera.' After that, it quickly took off.
