This Michigan Ski Resort Is Still Open—In May!
It’s hard to believe, but this Michigan ski resort is still open in mid-May. Not only is it open, but there’s still snow on the slopes, and skiers are taking full advantage of it.
What makes this even crazier is that part of Michigan hit 90 degrees this week, and we're not talking about southern Michigan. Oh no, it hit 90 in the village of L'Anse in the Upper Peninsula. That’s pretty much unheard of for this time of year.
By the way, just 50 miles north of the village of L'Anse, it was only 49 degrees. Are you kidding me? As they say, only in Michigan.

As far as this ski resort goes, we're not even talking about the Upper Peninsula. Nope, we're talking about a popular spot that's about an hour and fifteen minutes south of the Mackinac Bridge.
What Michigan Ski Resort is Still Open in May?
As you can see from the live camera below, Boyne Mountain is still open, and there’s still snow on the ground.
This past weekend, the popular ski resort offered free skiing for moms on Mother's Day weekend, and plenty of them took advantage of the offer.
From shorts to full-blown snow gear, the mountain’s seen it all this season, with people making the most of the weird weather.
When Will Boyne Mountain close for the Season?
It sounds like they're going to take advantage of this situation as long as they can and will keep Victor Glacier open through Memorial Day weekend.
