Cavelli’s In Lapeer Is Now Open Under New Ownership
Cavelli's Eatery & Spirits has been a Lapeer staple for as long as I can remember. Now that I think about it, I think my first visit ever to Lapeer involved a stop at Will's Winery (no longer open) and Cavelli's.
Fast forward many years and several trips since then to Lapeer, Cavelli's Eatery & Spirits is reopening under new ownership. I am thrilled to announce that Aaron Corneail is the new owner. Many of you know Aaron already, he is also the owner of Flanagan's Pub in downtown Lapeer.
I recently had the pleasure of hosting a remote broadcast at Flanagan's. Let me be the first to tell you Aaron and and his entire crew are awesome. His love and enthusiasm for Lapeer is evident as soon as you start talking to him. I am super stoked that he is now putting his passion into Cavelli's.
I am sure you have some questions, I did too - so I went right to the source, Aaron Corneail.
How excited are you about taking ownership of Cavelli's?
We’re very excited to have Cavalli ‘s, a favorite of ours for many years. We are updating the exterior and interior of the building and will have a full Italian menu with a focus on risotto and fresh pasta.
Will Will you be keeping any Cavelli's favorites on the menu?
We are bringing back many of the favorites like the Cavalli Burger and the Mainain Street melt and will be using local businesses to fuel our business.
You have awesome entertainment at Flanagan's, are you planning to have live entertainment at Cavelli's too?
We will have live entertainment weekly, we hope to start an open mic night on Fridays and date night on Saturday to include great Italian dishes and piano music playing in the background. When you’re done you can take your receipt to Flanagan‘s pub and get 20% off drinks the rest of the night. We give free rides home Friday and Saturday night from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
Cavelli's will be opening tomorrow, Friday, August 20th at 3:00 PM with a limited menu and staff. I can't wait to check it out. Congratulations to Aaron and his entire team. See you all very soon.
