City of Flint Water Assistance Fund has Begun
If you live in the City of Flint and need a little help with your water bill, you could be in luck.
A new program was launched on Monday (April 6th) that is designed to help the residents in Flint with their water bill. Mayor Sheldon Neely and the Flint City Council put the program in motion in an effort to help.
Residents are now able to qualify for a credit up to $75 on their water bill in the City of Flint. Where did all of the money for the Water Assistance Fund come from? Well, the city was able to rework the dollars the Community Development Block Grant to free up $74,000 for the fund. However, this fund is available to only residents, not business owners.
