The search for a new head coach for the Detroit Pistons is over.

The Pistons have hired former Toronto Raptors head coach Dwayne Casey to a five-year deal to roam the sidelines down at Little Ceasers Arena and hope to turn the franchise around to become a difference in the Eastern Conference according to NBA insider for ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski.

Casey who took the Raptors to the best record (59-23) in the Eastern Conference and was named the NBA coach of the year for the 2017-2018 season was relieved of his coaching duties after the Raptors were swept in the second round of the playoffs this year by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Seven seasons with Toronto, he has built the team up to be a tough team to beat night in and night out. Casey has coached a very talented group of guards while north of the border now coming to the Pistons who have a very solid frontcourt with Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond we will have to see how it all plays out. Just make the damn playoffs is all I can say.
