Detroit Police Officer Shot in The Head, Suspect Killed

A Detroit police officer is in critical condition after being shot in the head late Sunday night on Detroit's west side.

The 14 year veteran was shot while responding to a domestic dispute call. The suspected gunman was shot and killed during the incident.

According to ABC12, the officer is in "very critical condition but is alive."

I remember thinking how crazy it was to hear about police officers being shot. Now I feel like we're kind of becoming desensitized to it because it seems to happen all the time now, which is pretty sad. I guess this was the seventh officer shot in Detroit in the past seven months. This kind of craziness has to stop.
