Did You Know The Uniroyal Tire On I-94 Use To Be A Ferris Wheel? [VIDEO]

It's amazing the things you learn every day. I have driven by the Uniroyal Tire on the side of I-94 in Detroit, hundreds of times and never knew its history. 

The tire itself was once a fully functioning Ferris wheel at the New York World's Fair. After the fair closed in 1965, the wheel was placed where it is now in front of a Uniroyal office. The office is no longer there but the wheel itself has become a staple of Detroit.
