This is one of those stories that has so many unanswered questions, it feels like there’s way more going on than what’s being told, but soon enough, those disturbing details will likely come out.

With that said, what we know already is disturbing in itself.

On Sunday, May 25, the new owner of a Michigan ice cream shop made a horrifying discovery in a back garage, one that will probably stick with him for a long time.

A brutal discovery like this is one you usually see in the opening scene of a horror movie. But this was real, and it happened at The Parlour, an ice cream shop in Jackson.

What Happened at The Parlour in Jackson?

While in the restaurant's back garage, the new owner opened a freezer and found it was filled with dead dogs. Inside were about six puppies, five adult dogs, and black bags that appeared to contain severed animal ears.

According to MLive, the new owner had taken over the business just two months earlier. The garage was still packed with old equipment and personal items left behind by a previous owner/operator. Someone tipped off the current team that they should check the freezer, and… yeah.

Investigation Into Dead Dogs Found at Michigan Ice Cream Shop

Animal Control was called right away after the discovery. Officers came to the shop, collected the evidence, and started investigating.

So far, there aren’t many details about why the animals were there or what exactly happened. Officials say they’ll share more information as the investigation moves forward.

Like I said earlier, so many unanswered questions.

The number one question…Why?

I seriously can’t think of one reason why someone would keep dead puppies, dogs, and severed ears in a freezer. Seriously, not one.
