Evil Dead The Musical, Complete with ‘Blood Spray Zone’ is Playing in Michigan
Spooky season is in full effect... and this sounds extra spooky - and fun!
Evil Dead The Musical Comes to Midland
Two Midland theatre companies are joining forces on a musical adaptation of a horror trilogy with Michigan ties - and the performances are outside in the woods!
The Friction Theatre and 611 Theatre Company have brought Evil Dead The Musical to Stratford Park in Midland - and there are multiple performances left!
If you're not familiar, in the 1981 Movie "The Evil Dead", five Michigan State University students vacation at an isolated house in Tennessee... and well, I won't ruin it for you, but it gets wild!
The production merges the characters and concepts of the three movies into one story, with songs specifically written for the musical.
The Midland shows are complete with a blood spray zone, a mini haunted walk, and food trucks before the performances.
Organizers say,
You will be entering the woods at Stratford Park to join Ash and his friends in the cabin where the evil terror takes hold. There will be a blood zone where you will be covered in blood by the end of the show. These tickets will be up front and close!
Also, alcohol is allowed! The performances are BYOB - just no glass.
