FBHW Show Announce ‘Idiots For Underdogs’ Charity

The Free Beer and Hot Wings show proudly announced their own 503c charity - Idiots for Underdogs. If you don't know what a 503c charity is, don't worry - I did not either.

A 503 charity Section 501(c)(3) is the portion of the US Internal Revenue Code that allows for federal tax exemption of nonprofit organizations, specifically those that are considered public charities, private foundations or private operating foundations.

The Free Beer and Hot Wings show explained the charity project as follows,

'The idea behind Idiots for Underdogs was to take the basic concept of our yearly Free Beer and Hot Wings Show Holiday Break-Ins and expand it to something that would allow us to help people when we can throughout the whole year. Why call it Idiots for Underdogs? Well, we’re Idiots and you’re Idiots and our goal is to have you help us help other people who are dealing with an uphill battle of some sort which makes them the Underdogs.

 

So, officially, Idiots for Underdogs is a 503c charity established by The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show as a way to help people in a variety of situations who may not otherwise receive the assistance they need from other charities with narrower parameters or targets. Idiots for Underdogs is not limited to any particular incident or event or specific age, race, gender, or other demographic, but rather simply exists to help those we can with the resources we have.

 

Those resources may come from a variety of places, but mostly from a big ol’ chunk of the proceeds we get from Fancy Idiots memberships, the merchandise we sell, and maybe even some from donations. Thanks for your current and future support. We can’t wait to get started and we couldn’t do anything without you!'
