Flint-Based ‘Treasure Race’ App to Hold $5k Scavenger Hunt in Ann Arbor

Another chance at $5,000 is coming your way in November.

Get your team together and get ready to compete in a scavenger hunt in Ann Arbor worth $5,000. Treasure Race is an app-based scavenger hunt created right here in Flint. The goal of the Treasure Race is simple. Your team will navigate the clues that will take you to both obscure and well-known locations. Just complete the race before any other teams and win $5,000.

The Flint-based company held its first official scavenger hunt in Ann Arbor on October 3rd, 2021. Over 180 people participated in the race. Those participants came together to form around 60 teams in the race. In the first race, the winning team consisted of students from the Ann Arbor area. Their team was the first team to find the "buried" treasure in the Argo Cascades near Kerrytown.

When and where is the next Treasure Race?

Gather your team and prepare to find the buried treasure on Sunday, November 21st at 11 am. This race will also take place in Ann Arbor.

How long is the race?

The next Treasure Race is expected to have a run time of about three and a half hours. It will consist of four main regions and an "x" region.

I really want to give this a try, but not just for the money. I love scavenger hunts, escape rooms, and things of that nature. Getting a group of friends to give this a try would be fun.
