Flint Firebirds’ Annual ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ is Saturday
The Flint Firebirds are back in action on Saturday and it's the annual 'Teddy Bear Toss' during the game.
Head to the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center this Saturday, 11/30/19, for more Flint Firebirds hockey action. The puck drops at 7 pm as the Firebirds take on the London Knights.
The Firebirds are also hosting their annual 'Teddy Bear Toss' on Saturday as well. Bring a new or gently used teddy bear or stuffed animal to the game. When the Firebirds score their first goal of the game, fans can let loose and launch all the teddy bears on to the ice. Last year fans launched well over 1,000 teddy bears and stuffed animals for the Firebirds to collect. Fans are asked to bring and throw their stuffed animals in plastic bags so they stay safe and dry.
All the teddy bears and stuffed animals collected are then donated to several different local charities throughout Flint and Genesee County. They will be given to Whaley Children's Center, Hurley Hospital, the Michigan State Police, and more.
Get there early to receive a free ornament for the first 1,000 fans courtesy of PFCU. So grab your stuffed animals and get your tickets here for the game.
