Flint Firebirds Clinch Playoffs, More Regulars Season Games This Week
The Flint Firebirds have clinched the playoffs!
Congrats to the Flint Firebirds for being the first team in the Western Conference to secure their spot in the playoffs! The Firebirds definitely deserve this after having one of their best seasons ever in franchise history cut short at the start of the pandemic.
Currently, the Flint Firebirds are in second place in the West Division of the Ontario Hockey League and sitting just one win behind their rivals the Saginaw Spirit. The 2022 OHL Playoffs are set to start on Thursday, April 21st with three best-of-seven rounds followed by a best-of-seven championship series for the J. Ross Robertson Cup.

There are still ten games left in the regular season and the Flint Firebirds will be back in action for two games this week. On Saturday, March 26th, the Firebirds will take on the Saginaw Spirit on home ice at Dort Financial Center with a puck drop at 7 pm. On Sunday, March 27th, the Firebirds hit the road to take on the Kitchener Rangers at 2 pm inside the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.
Of the eight games that follow this weekend, seven of those will take place at the Dort Financial Center so get out and support the team before they head off to the playoffs!
