The Flint Firebirds will be back on home ice this Saturday and will be hosting 'Grandparents' Day.

Head to the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center to catch some afternoon hockey action with your grandparents. The Firebirds will face off against the Barrie Colts with the puck dropping at 3 pm. It's the Firebirds 'Grandparent's Day' so you can score two free kids tickets (17 and under) with the purchase of a paid grandparent's tickets, which start as low as $12.

Even better, the Flint Firebirds are off to their best start in the history of the franchise. They currently have a 9-3-0-0 record through the first 12 games. They have the second-highest winning percentage in the Ontario Hockey League and are the only team still undefeated on home ice.

To top all of the hockey action off, Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center is also the host to the 8th Annual Michigan Food, Beer, and Wine Fest on Saturday night. Once the game is over, you can make your way over to the other arena and sample more than 100 different Michigan craft beers and more. Get all the details here.
