Full disclosure, I am not a fan of winter. I do not enjoy the cold, I don't snow ski or snowmobile and I absolutely hate driving when the roads are snow-covered. That being said, there are plenty of things to occupy my time and yours indoors throughout the upcoming long cold Michigan winter.

Don't get me wrong, I do not go into hibernation as soon as winter begins, my list of indoor activities includes some things that can be enjoyed at home and some things that you have to leave your house to enjoy.

From movies and concerts to game nights with friends - I think I have something on this list for everyone. Actually, all of my suggestions can be adult-friendly and kid-friendly, it's all up to you. I don't recommend taking kids to brunch, but like I said it is up to you.

I will more than likely add to this list throughout the winter months, so please feel free to share any additional indoor activities that I did not include. As I am typing I just thought of two more things, how about going to a waterpark or a casino for the day? I better add those excursions to my list below.

For those of you who think maybe I did not give outdoor winter activities a chance, believe me, I have. I did not enjoy snow skiing because I had to throw myself down to stop and I once watched a friend of mine fall off of a chair lift. Truth be told she slipped and was clinging to my leg, I tried to lift her up but ended up kicking her off instead. Please don't judge me, no bones were broken in the fall.
