Jim Harbaugh Is On the Hunt For an NFL Gig and Warmer Weather

Not sure if the high of winning the College Football National Championship has worn off but Michigan's head coach is off to a warmer climate to interview for an NFL gig.

Jim Harbaugh and Michigan

To see Jim Harbaugh's smile and to hear him talk he was very happy with the Michigan Wolverines winning the College Football National Championship. Harbaugh has even mentioned getting a commemorative tattoo.

Harbaugh had some recruiting and sign-stealing issues that led to the first and last 3 games of the season under suspension. These issues are going to continue into the next season as the sign stealing is still under investigation. There has always been chatter about Harbaugh returning to the NFL and unfortunately it is no longer just chatter.

Jim Harbaugh Interviewing With the Los Angeles Chargers

There are a lot of coaching opportunities available in the NFL and according to ESPN Jim Harbaugh will be interviewing with the Los Angeles Chargers and perhaps other teams.

Harbaugh is no stranger to the NFL having coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014. Harbaugh took them to a Super Bowl in which he coached against his brother John Harbaugh and lost to the Baltimore Ravens in what many called the Harbaugh Bowl.

Not sure Harbaugh will have time to get his National Championship trophy unpacked and set up in his trophy room when he may be packing for California if he gets offered and takes the Charges coaching gig.

Harbaugh and the Charges won't be making any announcements soon because the team will be interviewing other candidates as Jim plans to meet with other teams. Atlanta, Carolina, Las Vegas, Seattle, Tennessee, and Washington are all on the hunt for a new head coach plus there is a chance Dallas may make a change at the position as well.

The Michigan football team and the fans can enjoy their championship for now but it seems inevitable that Harbaugh won't be returning as their head coach.
