A Wayne County man recently won $2 million on a scratch-off ticket he purchased from Discount Tobacco, located on Telegraph Road in Brownstown.

The 51-year-old winner was watching another customer in the store scratching off a few $2,000,000 Jackpot instant game tickets. He then asked the customer if he minded if he bought a couple tickets to play as well. The man told him to go ahead because he wasn't having any luck anyway. So he bought a couple tickets and started scratching when all of a sudden he was a $2 million winner. Both were stunned obviously. I'm not sure why he felt the need to ask the man for permission, maybe he was just being polite. I bet the other guy was so pissed off, that had to hurt a bit.

He said it took a lot of convincing to get his wife to believe him.

According to WDIV, the winner visited Lottery headquarters on Tuesday to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay off his home, buy a new truck, share with his church, and then save the remainder.
