Hotter Than Normal? New August Forecast Says Michigan Is Heating Up
If you were hoping Michigan was finally going to cool down this month, as we inch closer to fall, I hate to break it to you that extreme Michigan heat isn’t done with us just yet.
The latest forecasts from the Climate Prediction Center are looking at the next couple of weeks and beyond, and the odds are pretty high (we’re talking 60 to 80 percent) that temps will be warmer than normal. So yeah, don’t expect hoodie weather anytime soon.
What “Warmer Than Normal” Really Means for Michigan in August
Well, according to MLive, normally around mid-August, most of us can expect highs in the low 80s down south, and mid to upper 70s if you’re hanging out up north. But this forecast? It’s telling us we’ll be cruising through the 80s with maybe even some days soaring in the 90s.

Is Any Cooler Weather Coming to Michigan This August?
Kind of. Looks like we’ll get a cold front about once a week, which should bring a little relief for anyone complaining about the warmer temps. After it rolls through, you’ll get a day or two with highs in the 70s before the heat cranks right back up.

You’ll hear no complaints from me. I’m in no hurry for fall to get here, because that just means winter is that much closer. If we’ve got a few more solid weeks of summer heat ahead, I say bring it on.
