When it comes to delicious beer, Michigan is filled with them. From seasonal to year-round brews, there is a flavor for everyone. But how do Michigan beers stack up against the rest of the nation? Find out below.
In a recent article from 247wallst.com, the top 40 most delicious beers in America were named. Of those 40 different brews, Michigan is responsible for three of them in the top 20. Unfortunately, the number-one spot went to Heady Topper from The Alchemist Brewery in Waterbury, Vermont.
Which Michigan Beers made the list?
According to this list of the Top 40 Most Delicious Beers in America, Michigan breweries took the honor of the #15, #11, and #4 spots.
#15 - CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout)
CBS from Founders Brewing Co. in Detroit.
#11 - Two-Hearted Ale
Two-Hearted Ale from Bell's Brewery in Comstock.
#4 - KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout)
KBS from Founders Brewing Co. in Detroit.
KBS is definitely one of my favorite stouts out there. However, I'm a little bummed out that it only made it to #4 on the list.
The honors for the top three spots on the list go to:
- #3 - Pliny the Elder from Russian River Brewing Co. in Santa Rosa, California.
- #2 - Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout from Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. in Decorah, Iowa.
- #1 - Heady Topper from The Alchemist in Waterbury, Vermont.
Just to round out the top five, the fifth entry on the list was Mornin' Delight imperial stout from Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. in Decorah, Iowa.
