A Michigan dance crew brought the house down on a recent episode of America's Got Talent.

The four men from Inkster were so impressive that host Terry Crews, who, by the way, is originally from Flint, Michigan, hit the golden buzzer.

If you’re not familiar with the show, the golden buzzer is a special button that a judge or the host can press during auditions to send an act straight to the live shows.

All four judges, even the notoriously tough-to-please Simon Cowell, were on their feet following The Funkateer Dancers' performance. When Terry Crews hit the golden button, the crowd went wild with excitement.

The men originally formed the Funkateers 45 years ago when they were in high school. What started as a group for a talent show was really just a fun way to catch the attention of girls.

I’m not sure if it worked for them back then, but it’s definitely paying off now. The Funkateer Dancers are a viral sensation.

Who are the Funkateers?

Funkateers members are Ed Miller (66), Michael Kelly (64), Tony Warren (61), and Jeffrey Healey (59).

The men will return for America's Got Talent live shows this August. You can watch their AGT performance below, along with a throwback video of the group from back in the day.

You can follow the guys on Facebook here. Great job, Funkateer Dancers - we are pulling for you one hundred percent!
