Mid-Michigan Man Killed By Forklift

A Midland County man was killed earlier this week while working in a field near his home.

According to WNEM, 54-year-old Thomas Emery of Porter Township was operating a Bobcat forklift from outside the cab area when he accidentally pulled a lever making the hydraulic go down. He ended up getting pinned in the machine. I can't even imagine the pain he must have endured.

This had to be a horrific way to go out. It's believed the accident happened around 10 am this past Monday. He wasn't found until nearly 4 pm that afternoon.

Our hearts go out to the family who is obviously devastated by the accident.
