Bizarre Disappearance: Mt. Morris Woman Missing, Police Ask for Help
The Mt. Morris Township Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a 57-year-old woman who went missing on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Karen Wilcox, 57, of Mt. Morris, was last seen in her bed at home on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in the Mayfair subdivision near Pierson and Clio roads. Her disappearance is particularly strange, as she left with her phone but abandoned her shoes and most of her personal belongings at home, including her purse, money, and ID.
It's also bizarre that Wilcox left her walker and cane behind. According to Missing in Michigan, She recently had knee surgery and isn't very mobile, so she can’t get around quickly or travel far on foot. Since it’s been over a week, she might be in a pretty weak condition if you spot her.
Karen Wilcox Description:
Karen is around 5'5" or 5'6", with hazel eyes and long blonde hair.
Her family is desperately trying to find her and says they have no leads. Her daughter even posted on social media, pleading, 'Please help bring my mom home.'
It’s tough even to imagine what the family is going through right now, with so many unanswered questions still hanging in the air.
Mid-Michigan Now reports that she left with her phone, but her family has tried calling and it’s turned off. The phone company pinged it, showing it was somewhere in Genesee County.
If you have seen or know the whereabouts of Karen, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Mt. Morris Township Police Department at (810)-785-1311 EXT#321, Officer Corey Edwards: Email Address is cedwards@mtmorristwp.org, Complaint# 24-1755.
