Owosso Public Schools to Have Half-Day Due to Heat Index

It's pretty rare that we see temps in the 90s this time of year. Due to the expected heat index (100), Owosso schools will be letting students out early.

At first, I thought this was kind of ridiculous until I heard that the school doesn't have air conditioning. I guess I didn't realize that a lot of schools don't have air conditioning. As you can see on the Owosso Public Schools Facebook page, a lot of people have mixed feelings about the decision to have a half-day.
