Police Investigate Concrete Thrown at Vehicles on U.S. 131 Near Grand Rapids

Michigan State Police are investigating an incident involving some kids throwing concrete at vehicles on U.S. 131 Near Grand Rapids in Kent County.

According to MLIve, the concrete was thrown at moving vehicles around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, on southbound U.S. 131 near 76th Street.

The concrete hit two vehicles causing significant damage. The drivers of one of the vehicles said that he witnessed two boy throwing the concrete that hit his vehicle. After the hitting his vehicle, the boys apparently ran off.

By the the time police had arrived on the scene, they boys were nowhere to be found.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the state police post in Grand Rapids at 616-866-4411.

Those boys just don't understand or don't care about the consequences that comes with doing something so dangerous as throwing rocks at moving vehicles.

Did we not learning anything from the incident that took the life of a Michigan man in 2017?

It's hard to believe that it's been five years since five boys were throwing rocks over an overpass in Clio which ultimately killed Kenneth White. White was a passenger in a vehicle that was passing under the overpass where the boys were throwing rocks.

Three of the teens in the Clio rock-throwing case were sentenced to one-year probation and 100 hours of community service. The fourth boy was sentenced to 330 days in jail while The fifth suspect, Kyle Anger, was sentenced to 39 months to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
