Shiawassee River Fest Will Happen in July
As things open back up, we have more to look forward to this summer.
It has been announced that the Shiawassee River Fest will take place this summer. The Keepers of the Shiawassee River have set the dates of the festival, which are Friday, July 16th through Sunday, July 18th. This will mark the return of the River Fest after being canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Keepers of the Shiawassee River is a non-profit, volunteer organization that is an advocate for the Shiawassee River, the Shiawassee River Trail Coalition, and the communities that the river flows through.
The 2021 Shiawassee River Fest will be apart of Linden's 150th Anniversary Celebration and will bring back popular events that include the Cardboard Regatta, a fishing tournament, vendors, live music at Linden's Millpond gazebo, and more.
I know this is going to be a well received event after our tough year we’ve all had. We are in the beginning stages of planning right now, so a lot of the details have not been hammered out...We are hoping to include fireworks and other exciting elements...said Brad Jacob, Fenton City Councilman and chair of the Shiawassee River Fest.
Spots are now available for vendors at the 2021 Shiawassee River Fest. If you are a business, craft, or art vendor and would like to be a part of the festival you can message the Shiawassee River Fest here or contact Bethany Granger.
I'm so glad to see things like this happening again in Michigan! I can't wait to go check it out!
