A Michigan man is now behind bars for attempted robbery and impersonating a police officer.

I don't understand how some people think. Why would you even think this idea would work, let alone be a good idea? A 33-year-old man was dressed up as a police officer for a Halloween party and ended up getting himself arrested. While dressed as the officer the man from Burtchville Township, decided to try and rob a woman at gunpoint.

The attempted robbery happened on Saturday, October 30th. Thankfully the woman was able to get away and called the real police. Police officers were able to identify this idiot and found out that he lived nearby. After getting a warrant, St. Clair County Sheriff's Office was able to arrest him on Thursday, November 4th.

It was thought that the man had a "familiarity with firearms and military training," so the Port Huron Police Department helped with the arrest with their Special Response Team. The suspect is now being held in the St. Clair County Jail and will soon be arraigned for armed robbery, unlawful imprisonment, and impersonating a peace officer.

Again, I just don't understand what people are thinking sometimes. Why would you try to do this dressed as a police officer? It makes absolutely no sense. Why try to do this in any costume for that matter. In a day when masks are acceptable anywhere you go, why would you wear something that is easily identifiable? Not that I'm condoning crime, but come on!
