My golf league is better than your golf league...fight me.

Last night, 160 golfers began season number 10 of the Banana 101.5 Bad Golfers League. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was to step foot back in the clubhouse of Swartz Creek Golf Course last night. The Banana 101.5 Bad Golfers League officially kicked off the 10th season on Wednesday and it was a blast.

When we first started this league years ago, I never imagined that it would turn into such a huge success. In our first year, we filled the course with 36 teams, which was a sellout back then. The next year, we figured out a way to accommodate more golfers, and the league has grown every year since, selling out every single time.

This year is definitely the biggest year of them all. The Banana Bad Golfers League is now home to 160 golfers (80 teams) and has many more teams on the waitlist just hoping for their chance to join. The league has also expanded into multiple time slots as well. League golfers now tee off at both 2 pm and 5:30 pm. That is one of the best things to come from COVID. When the pandemic started, we added an earlier time to spread people out and since then, the 2 pm division has continued to grow.

It feels great to be back at it. That whole league has become a family and it feels like an awesome family reunion every Wednesday. Some improvements have been made in our golfing, but for the most part...LONG LIVE THE BAD GOLFERS LEAGUE!

Cheers Bad Golfers! We couldn't have done it without you!
